"Wine and Dine" with the "Dance Fiddlers"
hosted by Aventis Pharma G. m. b. H.

Location: Hofburg Congress Center, Heldenplatz 1, 1010 Vienna

The "Dance Fiddlers" from Vienna offer a musical experience unlike any other. This well-known group specializes in the authentic repertoires of their homeland: Original forms of Viennese waltzes; the roots of Strauss polkas and dances; and many other treasures from Austria. All of this is masterfully performed by the Dance Fiddlers with the highest musicianship - and, of course, typical "Austrian charm".
In addition to yodeling and songs from the Alps, you will feel the influences of Roma (Gypsy) music from Hungary and of melodies from the Slavic lands of Eastern Europe. The Dance Fiddlers, moreover, know that their music is best when its brilliance and virtuosity also entertains their audiences.

10 of our best winegrovers from Eastern Austria (Burgenland) will be presenting some of their top quality wines as well as culinary delicacies.

Gala Reception and Concert in the Wiener Konzerthaus
hosted by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Osteology, Merck Sharp & Dohme and VIATRIS Pharma GmbH

Location: Schubert Hall, Wiener Konzerthaus, Lothringerstrasse 20, 1030 Vienna

The Wiener Konzerthaus is one of the most important and artistically advanced musical institutions in Europe. It has been an essential part of Vienna´s musical life for 90 years. It was inaugurated on October 19th 1913 in the presence of the Emperor, Franz Joseph. Richard Strauss, the most famous composer of the day, wrote the "Festliche Präludium op. 61" especially for the opening which was followed by a performance of Beethoven´s Ninth Symphony. The mix of the old and the new in this opening concert - a contemporary composition and a classical masterpiece - has remained a major feature of the Konzerthaus´ repertoire to this day.
